Who we are

This website, izemcaptures.com, is operated by IzemCaptures, a photography business based in Morocco. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to IzemCaptures.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website or get in touch with us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and the rights you have. It applies to visitors from Morocco and abroad, including visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Information you give us

When you send an inquiry through the form on our Contact page, we collect:

• your name and email address
• your phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to provide it
• the type of photoshoot, preferred dates and location you mention
• anything you write in your message

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp or social media, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message.

We use this information only to reply to you, prepare a quote, plan your photoshoot and provide the services you request.

How inquiries are stored

Form submissions are stored securely in our website’s database and sent to our business email inbox (Microsoft Outlook) so we can reply. Messages sent by WhatsApp or social media remain on those platforms.

Booking a consultation

Our “Book a consultation” buttons open a booking page provided by Google Calendar. When you book a time, Google processes the details you enter, such as your name and email address, and shares them with us so the appointment appears in our calendar. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

The availability calendar on our Contact page is embedded from Google Calendar and shows only whether days are busy or free.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address to send you new stories, photoshoots and occasional updates from IzemCaptures. We send newsletters only to people who sign up and confirm their subscription by clicking the link in our confirmation email.

Our newsletter is managed with Mailchimp, an email service provided by Intuit Inc. Your email address and basic information about how you interact with our emails (such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked) are stored by Mailchimp, which may process data outside Morocco, including in the United States. Mailchimp’s handling of this data is described in the Intuit Privacy Statement.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter, or by emailing us. We keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice. You can accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies or choose by category under Preferences.

• Essential cookies keep the website working and remember your cookie choice. They do not require consent.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors found us. They are only set if you accept them.

We use Google Consent Mode. If you decline analytics cookies, Google Analytics does not set cookies on your device; Google may still receive limited, cookie-free signals (such as the fact that a page was viewed) that cannot be used to identify you and are used to estimate overall visitor numbers.

We keep a record of the consent choice made in the cookie banner for up to 12 months so we can show that consent was obtained. You can change your choice at any time by deleting the cookies for this site in your browser; the banner will then appear again.

Links to other websites and social media

Our website links to our profiles on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, and to WhatsApp. When you follow these links, the privacy policies of those services apply. We do not embed social media feeds that track you while you browse our site.

Hosting and security

This website is hosted by Hostinger. Like most hosting providers, their servers automatically record technical information such as IP addresses and browser types in server logs, which are used to keep the website secure and running reliably. The fonts used on this website are stored on our own server, so loading a page does not send your data to a font provider.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as needed:

• Hostinger (website hosting)
• Google (Analytics, Search Console and Calendar booking)
• Microsoft (email)
• Mailchimp by Intuit (newsletter), if you subscribe
• Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook), if you contact us there

Some of these providers may process data outside Morocco or the European Union. Where this happens, they rely on safeguards required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep your data

• Inquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if you book a photoshoot, for the duration of our working relationship and any period required for accounting or legal purposes.
• Inquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
• Analytics data is kept in Google Analytics according to its data retention settings.
• Cookie consent records are kept for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct inaccurate data
• ask us to delete your data
• object to or restrict certain processing
• receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it

In Morocco, personal data is protected by Law 09-08, and you may contact the Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel (CNDP). If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Bookings for photoshoots that include children are made by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new services to the website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
